The South China Sea is a part of the Pacific Ocean. It is the largest body of water after the five oceans. Within the sea, there are over 200 identified islands and reefs. Many rivers flow into the South China Sea, including the Pearl River, The Min River, The Jiulong River, The Red River and the Mekong River.

 

The South China Sea covers an area of about 3,500,000 sq. km. and lies between Singapore and Taiwan.
