Sharks have no bones. Their skeleton is made of cartilage, which is not nearly as hard as bone. Our noses and ears are made of cartilage. They may have up to 3,000 teeth at one time but they do not chew their food, they gulp it down whole. The teeth are arranged in rows and when one tooth is damaged or lost, it is replaced by another.
