Dolphins live in every ocean. Some dolphins prefer warmer waters, whilst others are happy in cooler seas and oceans. Bottlenose dolphins, for example, prefer warmer water and they live in different areas during different stages of their life. Dolphins will often migrate for breeding and giving birth.
Not all dolphins are classified as endangered. However, some dolphins, such as the bottlenose dolphin is hunted for its oil and meat. Conservationists are convinced it is at risk. Others factors which pose a threat to dolphins are gillnets, whaling and pollution.
